Coal the Kitty - Musings of a Kitten

A journal of a life shared between a kitty and a human.

Well, after my first 24 hours out of the hospital, and things seem to be going well. The Human was very worried about me at first, but she seems to have calmed down. I really like to snuggle with her, but I have to re-learn not to bite and scratch her so hard. She has been having fun giving me treats and playing all sorts of enjoyable games.

Going home!

Finally! I get to leave the shelter. The Human came and played with me every day, but that wasn't the same as being home. The Human came and picked me up today. Dr. Schudell gave her some medicine and some of the tasty food to give to me. I am feeling a lot better - I did some backflips today just to show off. We are going home!

Wow, once I got home, I saw that the Human had set everything up for me! How nice of her. There are some new toys - and a new carrier! Yeay!

The Human took me to the vet at the Shelter today. Dr. Schudell was very nice. He helped me eat some food, which was really tasty. He looked at me and decided that I need to stay at the hospital for a few days. I will be there until Tuesday. I will miss my Human, hopefully she will visit.

The Humans at the shelter are very nice. They take good care of me and they play with me.

The Human told me I have an Upper Respiratory Infection. You know, there were sneezing cats in the Shelter cages next to me. Thank goodness the Human adopted me.

The Human left today for a wedding. I wasn't happy with that at all, but I understood.

Unfortunately, my stomach started hurting me today. I had an accident in the corner. The Human came home and was so worried about me. She took me right to the vet ER. They were nice. They gave me some medicine and they put this weird injection under my skin, so now I have a bulge on my left side. Hopefully it will go away.

The Human put me in the bathroom with my food and water and some blankets. I am glad, I would have been so cold otherwise. I hope the Human takes me to the vet soon so I can get better.

Started feeling a bit worse today. The Human called the Shelter and they gave her some advice about feeding me. Thank goodness, because I was getting hungry. Can't smell the food to find it, you know.

Still enjoying my feather toy. The Human purchased a new red ball with feathers on it for me to enjoy.
